KLGSDP -inviting applications for District Co-ordinators

Applications are invited for the positions as individual consultants for the purposes and periods noted below at Kerala Local Government and Service Delivery Project (KLGSDP) which aims at strengthening local government service delivery in the State.

Position District Co-ordinators  
Assignment To assist Project Management Unit in ensuring that the LSGIs develop and implement subprojects using Performance Grant as per the guidelines laid down for environment and social safeguards, applicable procedures for procurement of goods & works, disburse funds observing procedures. Detailed duties and responsibilities are enlisted in the Terms of Reference.

Qualification Post Graduate degree in social sciences like Economics, Sociology, Political Science, Public Administration, Development Studies, or Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or BTech Civil, Environmental Engineering
Experience At least 2 years of experience in decentralisation or externally aided projects especially in carrying out environment / social studies    
Location Individuals will be located at each district headquarters and will travel in the district and or to PMU in Thiruvananthapuram, as required    
Duration 12 months from the date of signing of contract 
Remuneration Consolidated fee of Rs 20,000 per month   

Willingness to travel extensively within and outside the project area; Ability to work effectively as a member of multi-disciplinary team; Ability to work closely and effectively with Government and NGOs; Previous work experience in similar capacity will be an added advantage; Fluency in English and Malayalam is essential.
